Today's photo challenge topic is something old. This is a page in the O'Rourke family bible which came over from Ireland. Patrick and Margaret O'Rourke, my husbands great, great, great grandparents received it for a wedding gift when they left Sligo. It is a ginourmous book; I can't even imagine dragging it on the boat, it must weigh 15 pounds! There are all kinds of condolence cards as well and a few rose petals...even with all those kids, I guess romance wasn't dead! Very cool to pass along to our kids! You may have to zoom to see, but their kids started coming in 1859.
